Featuring over 20 new acquisitions to The Hyde from the collection of Tobin Sparling, this exhibition highlights the changing landscape of French art in the nineteenth and early twentieth century. From the Romantic movement that dominated the first half of the nineteenth century, through Realism and Impressionism, to avant-garde styles such as Fauvism and Cubism in the early 1900s, the French art scene was rapidly changing during this period. This exhibition includes prints by such well-known artists as Georges Braque, Édouard Manet, Berthe Morisot, Paul Signac, and Suzanne Valadon.
